The Presidential Inauguration took place on April 19 – 21, 2024.

This was a weekend-long commemoration of Columbia College’s 21st president, John H. Dozier, and a public reaffirmation of the College’s commitment to impact, service, and academic excellence.

Friday, April 19, 2024

2:00 – 3:00 PM 
The Columbia College Student Government Association hosted a homecoming pep rally celebration in the Student Union with food and music.  

7:00 – 9:00 PM 
Invited guests enjoyed a private welcome reception hosted by the Board of Trustees at the President's home (Maxwell House).

The President and Guests attended a worship service at Washington Street United Methodist Church (1401 Washington Street, Columbia, SC 29201). Members of the Columbia College community attended as well.
