A True Collaboration

I chose Columbia College for my Teaching Fellows Institution because of the personalized attention and endless opportunities given to every single student. The professors were committed to me becoming the best teacher I can possibly be.

The small size of the cohort made it ideal for establishing meaningful bonds among peers. We participated intravel, leadership, and recreational experiences together. Our professors knew us so well that they invited us into their homes for gatherings. You don't get that level of personal involvement at a larger institution. Most importantly, Columbia College Teaching Fellows program gave me the experience, tools, and confidence to be a successful leader in the classroom.

The Teaching Fellows Program is designed to cultivate leadership qualities and provide meaningful opportunities for future educators. At Columbia College, leadership development and student experiences are at the heart of our vision. As the Campus Director of the Teaching Fellows Program, I am excited to offer teacher candidates the same transformative opportunities I received as a Teaching Fellow at Columbia College—experiences beyond the classroom that opened doors I never thought possible. Collaborating with Newberry College will further expand access and possibilities, doubling the impact we can have on our future teachers.
