Columbia College is closely monitoring the expected winter weather and making preparations. Forecasts indicate a significant likelihood of snow and freezing conditions starting tomorrow afternoon, January 21, and continuing through Wednesday morning, January 22.
The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority. As a precaution, all Columbia College offices will close early at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 21.
To ensure continuity of operations:
- Classes: All classes scheduled after 12:30 PM will transition to e-learning. Faculty are encouraged to use Canvas for instruction, and students should check their Canvas courses for details.
- Remote Work: All employees are required to work from home following the campus closure.
- Dining Services: The Terrace Café will close at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, but the dining hall will remain open during regular hours.
- Library: Edens Library Learning Commons will close at 12:30 PM on Tuesday. Decisions regarding reopening will be shared on Tuesday afternoon.
Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date in the RAVE alert system to receive timely updates. You can update your details here.
Updates will be provided through RAVE, email, the College’s social media channels, and the website. The status of campus operations for Wednesday will be decided and announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Please stay safe during the upcoming weather!
