First-year honors student and tennis player Vienne Geren, a double major in Studio Art and Biology, was selected to participate in the Partners in the Parks program through the National Collegiate Honors Council. Partners in the Parks is an outdoor experiential learning program that offers select students and faculty the opportunity to visit, learn more, and participate in recreational activities in National Parks across the country in order to educate participants on the value of these parks to our nation. Vienne received a scholarship from the Southern Regional Honors Council to cover her registration costs and will participate in the Mammoth Cave National Park program the week of May 13-19, 2024.
Columbia College is proud to have students that seize opportunities to explore, learn, and serve both in their communities and across the nation. We look forward to hearing more about Vienne’s Mammoth Cave summer adventure and her plans to use this unique experience to enrich her education and her life going forward! Safe travels, Vienne!
