savanna loganSavanna Logan is a Junior Honors student and volleyball player majoring in Biology with minors in both Business and Environmental Science. She is an English tutor in the Pearce Communication Center, a member of the Esports team, a member of the Pre-Health Club, and the Junior Class representative for Honors. During her time in the Honors program, she has presented at two Honors conferences and will present at a third in Fall 2024. Recently, Savanna was elected as Student At-Large representative for the Southern Regional Honors Council. Savanna shared, “My favorite thing our Honors Program offers is the ability to travel and present research. I am most excited about serving on the Southern Regional Honors Council because it allows me to be more involved within Honors and support the program that allows me to attend the conference.”

Savanna chose to be a part of the Honors program at Columbia College because she hoped to challenge herself academically and have the opportunity to engage with students who matched her passion for learning. She believes that her time in the Honors program has enriched her college experience by pushing her to become a better version of herself through the friendships she has forged, collaboration with faculty, and endless research opportunities.

Obviously, Savanna stays busy as a student here at Columbia College, but after graduation, the most formative memories she says she will take with her are ones of walking the campus at sunset with her friends and attending the Study Bash at Edens Library, gathering with her friends to study late into the night and early morning. Savanna is just one of the countless students at Columbia College with a deep passion for academics but an arguably stronger commitment to campus enrichment. Her resumé speaks for itself: academics, athletics, campus organizations, and the list goes on and on. It is a point of pride for Columbia College that because our campus offers such an intimate, personal experience, our students are able to truly get involved with any number of activities and organizations during their time here. Columbia College is deeply proud of students like Savanna, who make the most of their student experiences so that they can go out into the world after graduation and make a difference in their communities and in the world.
