COLUMBIA, S.C., July 20, 2022 – Francis Schodowski, Executive Vice President, announced he will be furthering his career—moving on after six years of committed service to Columbia College. Francis’s departure from the community will be deeply felt, and his leadership and dedication to the mission of the College and to its students will be sorely missed.
“My time at Columbia College has been characterized by change, a wonderful change. Each day has been different since I arrived on campus in July 2016. I am proud of where the College is today and equally humbled and proud to have been part of bringing it to a position of opportunity for the future. Through changes in leadership, expansion to co-education, and program growth, the College has maintained a visible commitment to its mission and its student body, and it has been my pleasure to play a small part in the College’s history,” said Schodowski.
“Francis has been an important part of the leadership of Columbia College during his six years here. His ability to manage and lead so many vast and dynamic areas, ranging from Advancement to Athletics, Enrollment to Marketing/Communications, and everything in between, is something to be celebrated,” said President of Columbia College Tom Bogart. “I join the Board of Trustees and the community in thanking him for his work and wishing him all the best as he embraces a new endeavor in his career.”
Throughout his career, Francis has served in various capacities within the areas of college admissions and advancement, and he will continue this work as Vice President of Advancement for Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. As a community, we celebrate this opportunity for the Schodowski family. We are grateful to have benefited from Francis’s service and his part in leading Columbia College to where we find ourselves today.
Francis will remain in his role as Executive Vice President through August 12, 2022. Over the last six years, Francis has seen the College through adversity, transition, and triumph. Now, thanks to the impact he leaves behind, Columbia College can look ahead and continue equipping college students with the tools they need to go out and live lives of impact.
Best of luck, Francis!
