The Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Care is designed to build on Columbia College’s long standing history and tradition of teaching leadership skills. These skills will be instrumental for the student’s successful migration into management and leadership roles in the healthcare environment. With a B.S. in Respiratory Care, you will find a greater variety of career options in your field.

Columbia College offers a completely online B.S. in Respiratory Care (BSRTC) completion program for Registered Respiratory Therapists who have completed an associate degree in Respiratory Care and hold an unrestricted license to practice respiratory care.

Students in the BSRC completion program must take ten Respiratory Therapy courses online. The student may have also to complete general education or specified elective requirements that were not satisfied prior to enrollment. Each course is five weeks in length. Up to five courses can be taken each semester.

A degree in Respiratory Care can focus on any one (or several) of the following specialties:

  • hospitals
  • physicians’ offices
  • home healthcare services
  • Respiratory Therapy care facilities
  • correctional facilities or schools
  • service in the military.
