Program Highlights

In the Business Program, students receive exceptional training in business and leadership, combined with a broad liberal arts education. This valuable combination places our business graduates among the most marketable in the country.

Graduates from the business program have secured positions in Fortune 500 companies and major industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments. Many business graduates go on to pursue their Masters degrees at some of the nation’s finest business schools, a task made easier by the training and education gained during their undergraduate years at Columbia College.

Our faculty members are skilled experts in areas such as management, accounting, marketing, economics, small business, international business, and information systems. A dedicated Advisory Board consisting of business leaders provides guidance to the program. Our classes routinely feature guest business lecturers who are CEOs, corporate officers, and presidents of regional, national, and international firms.

Our students benefit from the B.E.A. Club, a student organization that brings students together for business education and social activities. Students also benefit from the Institute for Leadership and Professional Excellence at Columbia College, a nationally-recognized program noted for its innovative approach to the promotion of leadership skills in young women.

Our strengths include:

  • Focus on individual student learning
  • Dedicated faculty
  • Cross-cultural interaction between faculty and students
  • Experiential learning through intership placements, classroom exercises, and site visits.
